A motorcycle tire having at least one land section in the center thereof, having a specified rotation direction, and being characterized by a distance D, from a leg of a perpendicular line to a boundary among the boundaries that is on a trailing edge side, fulfilling the relationship D ≥ 1.7 S for a distance S when: a point separated on the leading edge side by 0.45H from an end edge on the trailing edge side of the surface of the land section in the rotation direction is considered a reference point, when the maximum height of the land section in the tire radial direction is H, in a circumferential direction cross section of the tire, for at least one land section; distance S is from the reference point to the end edge on the trailing edge side of the surface of the land section; and the perpendicular line is a line passing through the reference point and is perpendicular to virtual lines making the shortest connections between the bottom section of a width direction groove and both side walls on the trailing edge and leading edge sides facing the width direction groove.
