Zusammenfassung:	In a cutting head (1) for hair clippers having an upper cutter (5) formed by a plurality of bars (6, 7) and slots (13) between the bars (6, 7), said bars (6, 7) forming a contact face (8) for contact with the skin and a shear face opposite the contact face (8), and having a lower cutter (21) that has a multiplicity of cutting blades (20), is able to be driven in an oscillating movement relative to the upper cutter (5) and is guided in abutment with the shear face of the upper cutter (5), wherein at least one of the bars (6, 7) of the upper cutter (5) is formed with a free end (9) in the plane of the contact face (8), and a tooth (11) different from the upper cutter (5) adjoins the at least one bar (6) having a free end (9).
