Zusammenfassung:Disclosed is a system for detecting uncertainty in temperature detection systems. The system includes a temperature sensor (102) including a ground sheath (104) and a central conductor (106) surrounded by the ground sheath (104), the ground sheath (104) and the central conductor (106) being electrically coupled to one another through a temperature dependent resistive element (112). The system includes a controller (120) connected to the temperature sensor (102) and adapted to detect an electrical parameter (132) of the temperature dependent resistive element (112), the controller (120) operable upon execution to output an uncertainty indication (122) when the electrical parameter (132) of the temperature dependent resistive element (112) is not within an expected value range (136) based on an aircraft status indication (124), a historical value of the electrical parameter, and the electrical parameter (132).
