Zusammenfassung:The present invention provides a laser module capable of accurately detecting a deficiency of a module with a small number of temperature measurement elements. The laser module 1 has a semiconductor laser device groups 23 and 33. Laser beams L1 and L2 emitted from the semiconductor laser device groups 23 and 33 have a TE mode (major polarization component) and a TM mode (minor polarization component). The laser module 1 has a package housing 10, a beam splitter 50, and an optical fiber 60 configured to be optically coupled to the combined major polarization components L3 split by the beam splitter 50 to externally output the major polarization components. The package housing 10 has an inner surface including a minor polarization component irradiation portion 17 to be irradiated with the combined minor polarization components L4 split by the beam splitter 50. A thermistor 90 configured to detect a temperature change of the minor polarization component irradiation portion 17 is attached to the package housing 10.
