Zusammenfassung:A ground surface access assembly (10, Figure 1) having a support frame (12, Figure 1) defining an aperture that is sealed with a cover member (16, Figure 1). The support frame (12, Figure 1) has a base plate 26 and rim portion having a series of upstanding crests 86 each separated from an adjacent crest 86 by an intermediate valley portion 26a that is preferably a substantially flat floor portion. Each crest is preferably constructed of two angled planar surfaces 84a,84b at obtuse angles to each other connected by a curved peak 86. There may be reinforcement members or gussets 44 extending from the frame (12, Figure 1) adjoining the peak of the crest 86. There are further inventions to ground surface access assemblies with protrusions 82a,82b,82c on the base plate 26 and sidewall 46 or outer surface of the rim portion 14 of the support frame (12, Figure 1)
