Zusammenfassung:	It is inter-alia disclosed a method performed by a mobile device, the method comprising: performing a scan of a first set of a plurality of channels of a wireless communication system, determining a quality value for each channel of at least one channel of the first set of a plurality of channels, wherein the quality value is based on at least one of: a number of access points associated with the scan of the respective channel, the signal levels of access points obtained during the scan of the respective channel, at least one parameter received for each access point of at least one access point during the scan of the respective channel; and wherein the method comprises performing at least one scan of at least one channel of the first set of one or more channels for positioning based on the quality value determined for each channel of at least one channel of the first set of a plurality of channels.
