Zusammenfassung:It is provided a rigid tip portion for an endoscope for inserting into a lumen of a human body, wherein the rigid tip portion has a center axis extending from a distal end of the rigid tip portion to a proximal end of the rigid tip portion; at each position along the center axis, a respective cross-section of the rigid tip portion perpendicular to the center axis is elliptical; the rigid tip portion accommodates a sensor system comprising a single objective lens having a field of view of not less than 180°; and an image sensor, wherein a sensor area of the image sensor is arranged in an image plane of the single objective lens; a front lens on an object side of the single objective lens is arranged at the distal end of the rigid tip portion.
