Zusammenfassung:A movement assistance device (1) includes: a first fitting member (10) which is fitted onto the torso; a second fitting member (20) and a third fitting member (30) which are fitted onto both legs; and a power mechanism (40) which includes a first end connected to the first fitting member (10) and a second end connected to the second fitting member (20) and the third fitting member (30) and generates a tensile force between the first end and the second end. The power mechanism (40) includes: a string-shaped first power transmitter (410) connected to the second fitting member (20) and the third fitting member (30); a first sliding mechanism (421) which is positioned between (i) the first fitting member (10) and (ii) the second fitting member (20) and the third fitting member (30) and around which a third portion (413) is wound; an actuator (430) which generates a tensile force between at least one end of the first power transmitter (410) and the second fitting member (20) and the third fitting member (30).
