CONTROL METHOD FOR A HIGH-PRESSURE CLEANING APPLIANCE AND HIGH-PRESSURE CLEANING APPLIANCE, IN PARTICULAR FOR CARRYING OUT THE METHOD

The invention relates to a control method for a high-pressure cleaning appliance (10) having a pump (16), an electric motor (14) and a control device (18). In order to easily adjust the speed of the electric motor (14) when a nozzle (30) connected to the high-pressure cleaning appliance (10) is changed, the control device (18) has multiple operating modes, in which it controls the electric motor (14) at different speeds, and the control device (18) monitors the electrical power consumption of the electric motor (14), wherein, when the power consumption increases, the control device (18) switches from the current operating mode to the operating mode with the next highest speed of the electric motor (14), providing that the current operating mode is not the operating mode with the highest speed of the electric motor (14), and wherein, when the power consumption decreases, the control device (18) switches from the current operating mode to the operating mode with the next lowest speed of the electric motor (14), providing that the current operating mode is not the operating mode with the lowest speed of the electric motor (14). The invention also proposes a high-pressure cleaning appliance (10) for carrying out the method.
