Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a glass container comprising as container partsi) a glass tube with a first end and a further end, wherein the glass tube is characterized by a longitudinal axis Ltube and comprises, in a direction from the top to the bottom:ia) a top region that is located at the first end of the glass tube, wherein the outer diameter of the top region is dt;ib) a junction region that follows the top region;ic) a neck region that follows the junction region, wherein the outer diameter of the neck region is dn with dn < dt and wherein the minimum thickness of the glass in the neck region is ln;id) a shoulder region that follows the neck region; andie) a body region that follows the shoulder region and that extends to the further end of the glass tube, wherein the thickness of the glass in the body region is lb and wherein the outer diameter of the body region is db with db > dt;ii) a glass bottom that closes the glass tube at the further end;wherein the junction region has an outer surface that at the end at which the junction region merges into the neck region is substantially circular arc-shaped, the substantially arc-shaped area having an outer radius rs, and wherein the outer contour glass container in the transition area between the top region and the neck region is defined by a certain minimum value for the term 2 × [ln/lb] × rs.The present invention also relates to a plurality of glass containers, to a process for the preparation of a glass container, to a glass container obtainable by this process, to a process for the preparation of a closed glass container, to a closed glass container obtainable by this process and to the use of a glass container for packaging a pharmaceutical composition. |
