OBJECT MOVING DEVICE

An object moving device includes: a guide rail (30) in which an erected portion (34) is erected on a base portion (32) which extends in a predetermined direction along an extending direction of the base portion (32); and a carrier plate (20) including a main body portion (21) which holds a holding object, and a slit (22) which houses the erected portion (34). The carrier plate (20) is attached to the guide rail (30) so as to move on the guide rail (30) along the extending direction. The erected portion (34) includes a first surface (342) and a second surface (344) which extend in the extending direction. The slit (22) is formed by a first edge portion which is disposed on a side of the first surface (342) of the erected portion (34) and a second edge portion (344) which is disposed on a side of the second surface of the erected portion (34). A cutout portion (70) which includes an opening facing the erected portion (34) is provided in at least one of the first edge portion (26) and the second edge portion (27). The cutout portion (70) includes a space portion (74) which allows grease to be stored therein. The grease stored in the cutout portion (70) is applied to the erected portion (34) which slides in the slit (22) when the carrier plate (20) moves on the guide rail (30).
