Zusammenfassung:An apparatus and a method for introducing a protective gas into a vessel (2, 110) are provided. The apparatus has a transport system (100) with a closed transport track, the transport system is designed to transport the vessel, and the apparatus has an injection device (150; 250; 350), and the injection device is arranged and constructed on the transport track, so that protective gas can be introduced into the vessel during the transport of the vessel. The transport system (100) is designed with a long stator linear motor drive (185) for moving a plurality of transport elements (170) for the vessel along the transport track in a individually controllable manner.
