CHEMICAL DOSING SYSTEM

A chemical dosing system 1 for adding a chemical concentrate 3 to a diluent 5, the system comprising a container 4 for holding a diluent 5 and receiving the chemical concentrate 3, a dispenser mechanism 7 for dispensing a known quantity of concentrate 3 into the container 4, a detector 9 arranged to detect the quantity of diluent 5 in the container 4 and a processor 11 arranged to control the dispensing mechanism 7 so as to dispense a volume of concentrate 3 in dependence on the quantity of diluent 5 in the container 4. The detector may be a weigh cell arranged to weigh the container and diluent within the container. The detector may be a plurality of vertically displaced fluid level sensors arranged to detect the diluent levels in the container, the level sensors being on a system frame or on a wand (fig 8) which is inserted into the container. The system may comprises a cone shaped receptacle (fig 2) for receiving the container and diameter portion sensor for determining the diameter of the container. The container may comprise a tag and the system comprises a reader linked to the processor for reading information on the tag.
