Zusammenfassung:	Described is a battery module comprising a plurality of battery cells which are electrically interconnected in parallel or in series, and comprising a battery module housing which is provided with at least two connection points for a data-carrying or current-conducting cable and with at least four cable guides for guiding a data-carrying or current-conducting cable connected to the connection points to another battery module or data receiver, wherein the cable guides (20a - 20f) end at different outer edges of the battery module housing, and wherein the sum of a cable-guide length of a first cable guide (20a - 20c) and the cable-guide length of a second cable guide (20d - 20f) is equal to the sum of a cable-guide length of a third cable guide and a cable-guide length of a fourth cable guide.
