Zusammenfassung:	A photodetector (10) includes a stem (40) having electrical conductivity, a pyroelectric element (20), a conductor pin (511), and a conductor pin (512). The pyroelectric element (20) is arranged on the front surface side of the stem (40) and has a structure including a first light receiving portion (201) and a second light receiving portion (202) that are connected in series and that generate voltages of opposite polarities upon receiving light. Each of the conductor pin (511) and the conductor pin (512) has a shape projecting from a front surface of the stem (40) and has thermal conductivity. A shortest distance for heat conduction between the conductor pin (511) and the first light receiving portion (201) and a shortest distance for heat conduction between the conductor pin (512) and the second light receiving portion (202) are the same.
