Zusammenfassung:	A surface-mount downlight including and a mounting top plate (200; 400) and a downlight body (100; 300) comprising a hollow main body (110; 310) and a light source module (130; 330). The surface-mount downlight also has a suspension mount assembly which includes at least two bearing portions (220; 410) provided on the mounting top plate (200; 400) and at least two suspension fixings (121; 320) provided on the hollow main body (110; 310) corresponding to the at least two bearing portions (220; 410). With translational movement or rotational movement of the mounting top plate (200; 400) with respect to the downlight body (100; 300) in a direction substantially transverse to a suspension mount direction, the suspension mount assembly can switch between a first position and a second position in which the downlight body (100; 300) is mounted onto the mounting top plate (200; 400) .
