STUD AND PNEUMATIC VEHICLE TYRE WITH STUDS ANCHORED IN THE TREAD

A stud (1, 1') for anchoring in the tread of a vehicle tyre, having a stud body (2, 2') composed of a top flange (5, 5') and a foot flange (4, 4') and having a stud pin (3, 3') which is anchored in the stud body (2, 2') and which projects with a pin portion (3a, 3'a) beyond the top flange (5, 5'), wherein, on the otherwise planar top side (7, 7') of the top flange (5, 5'), there are formed two recesses (8, 8', 9, 9') which are in each case situated opposite one another with respect to the stud pin (3, 3'), extend from the stud pin (3, 3') to the edge of the top flange (5, 5') and end in open fashion at the edge of the top flange (5, 5'). The pin portion (3a, 3'a), which projects beyond the top flange (5, 5'), of the stud pin (3, 3') is of elongate form in plan view, wherein the two recesses (8, 8', 9, 9') directly adjoin those sides of the stud pin (2, 2') which are relatively wide in plan view.
