The system includes an electrochemical cell (10) comprising a cathode (14) and an anode (16) separated by a separator (12) including a proton transfer medium. A supply of process water is provided to the anode (16), and inerting gas is produced at the cathode (14). A heat transfer fluid flow path is in operative thermal communication with the cathode (14) or with the anode (16) or with both the cathode (14) and the anode (16), and in fluid isolation from the cathode and anode fluid flow paths (23, 25), and a heat transfer fluid is flowing on the thermal management fluid flow path. |
