Zusammenfassung:	This application relates to a video coding method, including: obtaining a current video frame to be coded, and obtaining a predicted residual of a reference video frame of the current video frame in a case that the current video frame is an inter prediction frame; determining a quantization parameter threshold corresponding to the current video frame according to the predicted residual of the reference video frame; obtaining a quantization parameter estimated value corresponding to the current video frame; selecting a target coding mode from candidate coding modes according to the quantization parameter estimated value and the quantization parameter threshold, the candidate coding modes including a down-sampling mode and a full resolution mode; and coding the current video frame according to the target coding mode.
