The invention relates to a brewed beverage preparation apparatus comprising a body (2) for receiving water, a brewing basket (17), and a displacement device (19) for displacing the brewing basket in the body between a low brewing position and a high draining position. The displacement device comprises a maneuvering system (21); the maneuvering system comprises a screw (26) and a nut (29); the screw is driven to rotate by a motor (25); and the nut is mounted on the screw and connected to the brewing basket (17), and is movable along the screw between a first limit position in which the brewingbasket is in a low brewing position and a second limit position in which the brewing basket is in a high draining position. The maneuvering system comprises a loosening device for loosening the tapping of the nut relative to the thread of the screw when the nut reaches the first limit position or the second limit position.
