Zusammenfassung:The disclosure relates to a method for object detection for a vehicle having a thermographic camera, wherein a surrounding area of the vehicle is captured by the thermographic camera and converted into at least one image signal, the at least one image signal is processed by a first filter and by at least one second filter, and the at least one processed image signal is presented for object detection by a driver or analysed by a processing unit, wherein the first filter used is a modified nonlocal-means noise-suppression filter for processing the at least one image signal. In addition, a modified noise-suppression filter is disclosed.
