The invention relates to a machine for preparing drinks (1) infused or macerated in a liquid from an ingredient, said machine for preparing drinks (1) comprising: a carafe (20) for receiving the liquid and comprising a base (21), a side wall (22) provided with a pouring spout (25) and a filter (81) which extends in front of the pouring spout (25) so that the liquid contained in the carafe (20) passes through the filter (81) before going through the spout (25). According to the invention, the carafe (20) comprises under the filter (81), near the base (21) a plurality of cavities (82a, 82b, 82c,82d) extending transversely to the side wall (22) opening into the carafe (20), said cavities (82a, 82b, 82c, 82d) being dimensioned to capture and retain particles of ingredient which are depositedon the base (21) of the carafe (20) during the preparation of the drink and which move towards the filter (81) when the drink is poured.
