The indications can include the patient's SpO2, dissolved oxygen index, and/or an increasing or decreasing trend of dissolved oxygen index. The displays of oxygen state indications can be compact, and/or able to provide direct visual information to a user of various aspects of the patient's oxygen state. The display elements can be used to represent any other physiological parameters.
