Zusammenfassung:	To provide a guide wire capable of preventing breakage of the core shaft from the tapered portion as a starting point, while suppressing displacement of the bend of the core shaft beyond the tapered portion to the proximal end direction.A guide wire 10 of the invention includes a core shaft 100 having a distal end portion P1 reducing in diameter, a coil body 200 wound to cover the distal end portion P1, and a distal end fixing portion 401 fixing the core shaft 100 and the coil body 200 to each other, in which the distal end portion P1 includes a small diameter portion 110, a large diameter portion 120, and a tapered portion 130, the core shaft 100 and the coil body 200 are fixed at a portion excluding the tapered portion 130, and bending rigidity FR1 of the large diameter portion 120, bending rigidity FR2 of the small diameter portion 110, and a length L of the tapered portion 130 satisfy the following expressions (1) and (2).
