Zusammenfassung:	The present invention allows an oil to be readily fed to a hydraulic chamber even when a hydraulic pressure is low.A hydraulic tensioner 71 includes a low-pressure chamber 97 (corresponding to a second hydraulic chamber) downstream of a high-pressure chamber 93 (corresponding to a hydraulic chamber) into which an oil is fed from an oil feeder 94. The low-pressure chamber 97 has a pressure lower than a pressure of the high-pressure chamber 93. The low-pressure chamber 97 communicates with an outside of the hydraulic tensioner 71 through a gap (corresponding to a draining oil passage 98) formed in a boundary portion K2 between an outer circumferential surface of a plunger 75 and an inner circumferential surface of a tensioner body 72.
