Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to the cosmetic use of an extract of Syringa vulgaris L. meristematic cells for an anti-ageing action on the skin and/or skin appendages and/or mucous membranes. The present invention also relates to a use of an anti-ageing cosmetic or dermatological composition comprising an extract of Syringa vulgaris L. meristematic cells and a cosmetically and/or dermatologically acceptable carrier, said composition comprising 0.00001 to 5% by weight of said extract of Syringa vulgaris L. meristematic cells relative to the total weight of the composition, for an anti-ageing action on the skin and/or skin appendages and/or mucous membranes. The present invention further relates to a cosmetic method for improving the appearance of the skin, comprising an application to the skin of the cosmetic composition or of an extract of Syringa vulgaris L. meristematic cells , and to a use of a cosmetic or dermatological composition as defined above, for use thereof in a dermatological product intended for improving the appearance of the skin of a subject.
