Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a linear drive with a drive motor, a first engagement means which can be driven by the drive motor, and a rigid-spined chain. The rigid-spined chain has second engagement means which engage with the first engagement means in order to drive the first rigid-spined chain. Additionally, a chain depot is provided which is suitable for receiving a part of the rigid-spined chain, and the linear drive is suitable for carrying out a stroke movement with at least 1.5 times the length of the drive motor.
