Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to improved processes for producing ethanol from starch-containing materials by the combined use of at least one endo-protease and at least one exo-protease in an SSF process, and wherein the endo-protease is selected from a family M35 endo-protease and the exo-protease is selected from a family S53 exo-protease. More particularly the exo-protease should make up at least 5% (w/w) of the protease mixture.
