Zusammenfassung:	A household dishwasher includes a receiving area for receiving an item to be washed, and a tank assembly receiving dishwashing fluid. The tank assembly includes a first tank section with an inlet, via which the tank assembly can be supplied with dishwashing fluid, and a second tank section with an outlet, via which dishwashing fluid in the tank assembly is able to exit the tank assembly. The first and second tank sections are fluidically connected together and arranged fluidically in series such that dishwashing fluid in the first tank section is displaced into the second tank section when additional dishwashing fluid is introduced into the first tank section via the inlet.
