Zusammenfassung: | A refrigerator (2) includes a storage compartment (12) and a mullion assembly (70) pivotally coupled to one of a first door (28) and a second door (29). The mullion assembly (70) includes a cavity (138) with an insulating member (100) disposed therein. One or more sensor assemblies (150, 152) are coupled to the mullion assembly (70) and configured to collect data sufficient to calculate a dew point temperature of the mullion assembly (70) and an actual temperature of the mullion assembly (70). A heating element (140) is coupled to the mullion assembly (70) and is selectively activated by a controller (158) based on information provided from the one or more sensor assemblies (150, 152). The heating element (140) is powered using a modulated power level that is inversely proportionate to the difference in temperature between the mullion assembly (70) and the calculated dew point. |
