A tyre for vehicle wheels, comprising a tread band (2), on which there are defined a pair of axially opposite shoulder regions (7, 9), a central region (10) interposed between the shoulder regions, wherein, in each of the said shoulder regions and said central region, are provided a plurality of transverse grooves (30, 40, 50) slanted relative to a circumferential direction, a plurality of blocks (70) defined on said tread band in which a plurality of sipes (80) are formed, wherein, in said central region, all said main transverse grooves (30, 40) are slanted relative to a circumferential direction in a concordant manner to one another and all said sipes (80) are slanted in a concordant manner to one another and in a discordant manner with respect to said main transverse grooves.
