ROBOT HOLE PUNCH

The invention relates to a robot hole punch (10, 30, 70), comprising a die (12, 32, 60, 72, 92) having an interaction area (62) and a through-hole (64) leading therein. A movable (52) ram (16, 36, 86) having an outer cross-section adapted to the inner cross-section of the through-hole (64) is provided along a reference axis (14, 34, 74) extending perpendicular to the interaction area. A drive apparatus is provided so as to move the ram (16, 36, 86) in a hole-punching movement (52) from an initial position, spaced from the die (12, 32, 60, 72, 92), through the through-hole (64) so that a hole is thus made in a flat material (54, 82) disposed between the interaction area (62) of the die (12, 32, 60, 72, 92) and the ram (16, 36, 86). On the side of the die (12, 32, 60, 72, 92) facing away from the interaction area (62), a collection container (50, 76) is provided for the waste (44, 46, 48, 84) of the flat material (54, 82) resulting from the hole and pressed through the through-hole (64). A retaining apparatus (22, 40, 66, 68, 80, 96) is provided in the region of the through-hole (64) for preventing the waste from falling out of the collection container (50, 76). The invention also relates to a robot system comprising a robot hole punch (10, 30, 70) according to the invention.
