Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a clothes dryer 1 with the following parts: a control device 8; a drum 3 for receiving laundry items, in which at least one laundry driver 5, 22 is arranged, with a sensor arrangement 23 with at least two sensors 24, 25, 26, 27 in the laundry driver 5, 22, an autonomous power supply 28 and an interface 29 for wireless data communication; and at least one evaluation unit 30for sensor signals from sensor arrangement 23, wherein the control device 8 and sensor arrangement 23 being set up to communicate wirelessly with one another, and at least two sensors 24, 25, 26 , 27of the sensor arrangement 23 are based on the same measuring principle and are arranged along the laundry driver 5, 22. The invention also relates to a method for operating such a clothes dryer.
