Zusammenfassung:A method for person recognition in an area (B) with limited data transmission and data processing options that is to be monitored in a transport vehicle is described. The method involves image data (BD) from the area (B) to be monitored being captured. Faces (G) are detected in the image data (BD) by using an internal detection unit (32). Next, image data (BD-G) in which faces (G) have been detected are selected. The selected image data (BD-G) are transmitted to a fixed external person recognition device (40). The external person recognition device (40) is used to detect faces (G) on the basis of the selected image data (BD-G). A person recognition system (20) is also described. In addition, a transport system (50) is described.
