Zusammenfassung:A production host that hosts virtual machines includes a physical disk and a backup agent. The physical disk is utilized by a virtual machine of the virtual machines. The backup agent obtains a backup generation request; makes a first determination that the backup generation request impacts the physical disk; in response to the first determination: generates a mirror virtual disk for the physical disk; generates a backup of the mirror virtual disk as a backup of the physical disk; and stores the backup of the mirror virtual disk in backup storage.
