Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a method for protecting the components of a power electronics module of a starter-alternator system for a vehicle, said starter-alternator system having a control module able to control the power electronics module, wherein the supply current of the power electronics module is cut when, during a starting phase of the vehicle, a temperature (Tjunction) of at least one of the components of said power electronics module is determined as being greater than a predefined threshold temperature value, said component temperature being determined by estimation using the formula: Tjunction = Tleadframe + ∆T, where Tleadframe is the temperature of the substrate on which said power electronics component is mounted and ∆T is a temperature variation induced in the power electronics component by the flow of current in said component during the starting phase. |
