Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to strip steel for a forming process that has been provided with a metallic zinc or aluminium coat on one or both sides, wherein the coat on at least one side includes a coating which consists essentially of at least one polycarboxylate and has been implemented on carbon in a laminate structure within the range of 10-100 mg/m2. Coatings particularly suitable for deep drawing are achieved here with those polycarboxylates that each have a weight-average molecular mass of greater than 100 000 g/mol. A further aspect of the present invention comprises a process of forming the strip steel coated in accordance with the invention by deep drawing, and a component produced from the deep drawing strip steel.
