Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a medical device that comprises a catheter; an optical sensor disposed at or adjacent to a distal end of the catheter, the optical sensor including a photodetector and one or more emitters, the photodetector and each of the one or more emitters of the optical sensor being disposed linearly along a longitudinal axis of the catheter; and a controller disposed within the catheter, the controller being configured to determine a thickness of tissue adjacent to the optical sensor based on input from the optical sensor.
