Zusammenfassung:The present invention achieves an image processing device and a light distribution control system with which it is possible to identify a taillight with high precision without increasing cost. In the present invention, red pixels having at least a first threshold value are detected by a first pixel detection unit 13 of an image detection unit 18 from an image acquired by a camera 11 and an image acquisition unit 12, and using the detected red pixels as a reference point, surrounding pixels are determined by a second threshold value pixel detection unit 14 using a second threshold value that is smaller than the first threshold value, and a light point is detected by a light detection unit 15. The proportion (proportion of pixels at or above the first threshold value) of red pixels in the light point detected by a taillight determination unit 16 is calculated, and it is determined whether the calculated proportion of red pixels is at or above a taillight determination threshold value. If the calculated proportion is at or above the taillight determination threshold value, the light point is determined to be a taillight, and if the calculated proportion is below the taillight determination threshold value, the light point is determined to be a light point other than a taillight.
