Zusammenfassung: | An electrosurgical forceps (100), comprising first and second shaft members (110, 120), first and second jaw members (210, 220) extending distally from the respective first and second shaft members, each of the first and second jaw members including a distal tip portion (280) defined as an area within a concave side of a curved distal perimeter (282) of the distal tip portion and a pivot (130) coupling the first and second shaft members (110, 120) with one another such that the first and second shaft members are movable relative to one another between a spaced-apart position and an approximated position to move the first and second jaw members (210, 220) relative to one another between an open position and a closed position, characterized in that each of the first and second jaw members (210, 220) defines a stiffness, as measured between at least one of: a center of the pivot (130) and a point within the area of the respective jaw member or a proximal end of the respective jaw member to a point within the area of the respective jaw member, of from 14.0 kN/m (80 Ib/in) to 52.5 kN/m (300 Ib/in). |
