Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a device (50) having a drive control unit (60) which is designed to be suitable for controlling a drive unit (40) of a vehicle (1) that has one or more electric motors (42). In order to configure the operation of the drive control unit safely, in particular in order to be able to use this and the drive unit driven thereby safely even during rapid braking, a monitoring unit (70) is provided, which is designed to be suitable to prevent the drive control unit (60) from being switched off when it is indicated thereto, in particular by means of request signals (S1, S2) that are applied, that, in addition to a switch-off request (AbA1) that is activated independently of the drive control, a switch-on request (EinA2) that is activated as a function of the drive control is present. The invention further relates to a vehicle having such a device and to a method for operating a drive control unit.
