Zusammenfassung:In some examples, an aircraft gearbox (300) comprises a housing (302), a barrier (314), a rotatable drive system component (3081), a set of gears (3082), and a lubrication system (304). The barrier (314) separates a first compartment (3061) and a second compartment (3062) within the housing (302). Each of the rotatable drive system component (3081) and the set of gears (3082), operable to rotate based on torque received from an engine. The rotatable drive system component (3081) is located in the first compartment (3061). The set of gears (3082), is located in the second compartment (3062). The lubrication system (304) comprises a first lubrication subsystem (3101) and a second lubrication subsystem (3102), which are, at least in part, independent from one another. The first lubrication subsystem (3101) is operable to lubricate the rotatable drive system component (3081) in the first compartment (3061). The second lubrication subsystem (3102) is operable to lubricate the set of gears (3082), in the second compartment (3062). The barrier (314) inhibits lubricant from passing between the first compartment (3061) and the second compartment (3062).
