The invention relates to a cutting tool (10), comprising a main body (11) formed along a longitudinal axis (L), which main body has, at a first end, a shank portion (12) designed as a cutting section, and has, at a second end, a receiving portion (13) formed integrally therewith and designed to be received by a tool receptacle (20). The receiving portion (13) has a collar (14) projecting in the radial direction, which forms an axial stop (15) running transversely to the longitudinal axis (L), and an elastically expandable expansion portion (16) designed as a hollow peg, which has an inner cavity (17) that is open in the direction of the second end. The outer circumferential surface of the expansion portion (16) has a plurality of separate clamping surfaces (18), which extend along the surface of a common cylinder or cone that is coaxial to the longitudinal axis, and which are separated from one another at least in the circumferential direction by recesses (19a, 19a', 19b, 19c, 19d).
