The invention relates to a system and a method for protecting a vehicle window (2) from an object (5) moving forwards in the direction of the vehicle window (2), wherein a windscreen wiper (3) for cleaning the vehicle window (2) is moved such that the object (5) hits the windscreen wiper (3).
