METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR OPERATING AN ELECTRICAL ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM AND ELECTRICAL ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM AND USE THEREOF

A method for operating an electrical energy storage system comprising at least one electrical energy storage unit is described, said method having the steps described below. A first temperature value is identified from a first detected temperature variable of the electrical energy storage system. Furthermore, an electric current value is identified depending on the first identified temperature value, a second temperature value, an electrical resistance value, a thermal capacity value and a defined period of time. Furthermore, the energy storage system is operated in such a way that an electric current flowing in the electrical energy storage system does not exceed the identified current value at least during a partial period of time of the defined period of time. A corresponding apparatus and a corresponding electrical energy storage system having such an apparatus as well as the use of the electrical energy storage system are also described.
