Zusammenfassung:	A method for joining members according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: providing a bumper stay 10 including two integrated pipe portions 11 extending in an identical direction, the bumper stay 10 including a recess 13 provided between the pipe portions 11 being adjacent to each other, the recess 13 extending in a longitudinal direction of the pipe portions 11 from end surfaces of the pipe portions 11, a part of the recess 13 serving as a locking portion 12a, and a bumper beam 20 including a rear inclined wall 24 formed with two hole portions 24a into which the pipe portions 11 of the bumper stay 10 are insertable respectively; inserting the bumper stay 10 into the hole portions 24a of the bumper beam 20 until the locking portion 12 abuts on the rear inclined wall 24; and pipe-expanding an insertion portion of the bumper stay 10 inserted into the bumper beam 20 to join the insertion portion to the bumper beam 20 by press-fitting.
