METHOD FOR PRODUCING A DATA PAGE AND A BOOK BLOCK FOR A BOOK-TYPE DOCUMENT, AND DATA PAGE FOR A BOOK-TYPE DOCUMENT

The invention relates to a method for producing a data page (17) and a book block for a book-type document, and to a data page for a book-type document (11), in particular a value and/or security document, which document comprises a data carrier (20) having a tab (23) fastened thereto, said tab being made of a textile strip material, the textile strip material for forming the tab (23), which textile strip material is different from the data carrier (20), being positioned along a longitudinal side (32) of the data carrier (20) in such a way that an overlap region (30) is formed and a region (31) protruding beyond the data carrier (20) being formed, and the textile strip material and the data carrier (20) being connected to each other in the overlap region (30). The data carrier (20) has a raw size, the end edges (54, 55) of which have a greater distance than the distance of cut lines (57) for forming side edges (34, 35) of the data carrier (20) in the final format, and said data carrier (20) is merged with the tab (23). At least in one end region of the tab (23), a sealing surface (38) is introduced and is positioned in such a way that the cut line (57) for the final format of the data page (17) extends within each sealing surface (38), or, at the supplied tab (23), a sealing compound is introduced in protruding region (31) of the textile strip material in order to form a sealing surface (38) and said introduced sealing surface (38) is introduced at least in the end regions of the tab (23).
