VERTICAL CONVEYOR COMPRISING A RIGID CHAIN AND A CHAIN LINK, CONVEYING ELEMENT AND DELIVERY DEVICE

The present invention relates to a vertical conveyor (1) for continuously conveying goods, more particularly bulk goods, in a vertical direction, the conveyor comprising at least one conveying strand (4) circulating continuously between a conveyor base (2) and a conveyor head (3) located vertically above said base, the strand comprising at least one drive means and attached to said drive means a plurality of conveying elements (6), more particularly buckets, for holding the goods, and comprising at least one drive (7) for driving the at least one drive means to circulate on a circulating plane. The conveyor is characterised in that the drive means is a rigid chain (5) with links (8) of the chain (5) being designed to prevent them from being bent outwards relative to a neighbouring link (5) on the circulating plane, by a pivoting angle of more than 180°, and in that at least one end bearing (9) is provided, on which the continuous rigid chain (5) lies with an outer face pointing outwards on the circulating plane of said rigid chain (5), the end bearing (9) revolving with the continuously moving rigid chain (5).
