Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a rechargeable electric battery for a vehicle, having a housing. A battery stack, which is arranged in the housing, has at least two sub-stacks, each sub-stack consisting of at least two groups of batteries, which groups of batteries are connected in series and are stacked in a longitudinal direction of the electric battery. The batteries in each group of batteries are connected in parallel by means of at least one lead frame. The batteries form an air channel, which extends in the longitudinal direction of the electric battery and in which a BMS housing is arranged in the longitudinal direction, said BMS housing having BMS contacts, which are electrically connected to the lead frame.
