MANUFACTURING METHOD OF AN ELECTRODE FOR A CARTRIDGE AND A CARTRIDGE

The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of an electrode (19) for a cartridge (B) detachably mountable to an apparatus main assembly (100) of an image forming apparatus (A), the cartridge (B) including a frame (13) supporting a process member (12,16) for effecting image formation, the apparatus main assembly (100) including a main assembly contact. The manufacturing method comprises bringing a mold (27) into contact with the frame (13) so as to form an electrode forming space (40) between the mold (27) and the frame (13), the electrode forming space (40) branching off into a first space and a second space; and molding the electrode (19) by injecting an electroconductive resin (34) into the electrode forming space (40) from an injection receiving portion (G), the electroconductive resin (34) injected from the injection receiving portion (G) flowing into the first space and the second space to mold a first contact portion (22) and a second contact portion (20), respectively, wherein the first contact portion (22) is configured to contact with the main assembly contact, and the second contact portion (20) is configured to be electrically connected to the process member (12, 16).
